Mixed bacteria and fungal culture -Situ Biosciences Fungi/Bacteria Mixtures of fungi and bacteria are used in many studies including ASTM, MIL STD and ISO test methods, and can be particularly important for ASTM, ISO and EPA Biodegradation Tests.

Mixed bacteria are common in instances of Microbial induced or influenced corrosion.
Fungi as seen in ASTM test methods D3273, G21 and D5590 -Situ Biosciences Penicillium sp. Many of the organisms used in microbiological testing for fungi, bacteria, algae are familiar to a general audience.

For example, Penicillium sp. (as seen above) is commonly used in numerous ASTM, AATCC, MIL STD and ISO test methods.
Green and Blue/Green Algae -Situ Biosciences Algae Green and Blue/Green Algae are commonly used in ASTM and ISO laboratory microbiological test methods.

Certain algae are significantly more difficult to control and should be considered as part of the test assessment.
