Situ Biosciences to Present at METALCON 2026
Situ Biosciences is pleased to announce our participation as a speaker at METALCON 2026, taking place October 7–9, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
As part of the education program, our Managing Director, Dr. Donald P. Satchell, will present the session:
“Preventing Failures in Roofing and Wall Systems: Evaluating Antimicrobial Performance in Building Materials.”
This session will explore how antimicrobial additives are used in building materials such as roofing systems, wall assemblies, coatings, and sealants to help control mold and algae growth. Attendees will gain insight into how performance is evaluated through standardized testing methods and how those results translate to real-world environmental conditions.
Topics will include:
- The role of antimicrobial systems in material durability
- Key testing methods such as ASTM G21, ASTM D3273, and MIL-STD fungal resistance testing
- How environmental factors impact long-term performance
- Considerations for interpreting laboratory results in real-world applications
