ISO 22196 is a standard, globally recognized, antimicrobial surface test that performs the measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces. ISO 22196 is designed to test the test sample’s ability to kill or prevent the growth of microorganisms over a 24 hour period of contact. Standard antimicrobial testing for ISO 22196 is performed against Gram+ and Gram- organisms, S. aureus and E. coli.
